Super WHY!?!?!
The kids have made a switch from Sesame Street to Super Why on PBS. I haven't minded it so much. The little characters aren't annoying, they talk about familiar storybooks and help kids with letter sounds, letter recognition, spelling, etc. The Super Readers JUMP into a storybook to help solve a real-life problem. As they are reading through the story, the storybook character will often lament that they have to do something because it's "in my story", and the Super Readers will change the story to "solve the problem".
It's was pretty cool.
Until today.
I was working a puzzle with Boo and we had inadvertently left the game cupboard open. Yaks helped himself to the decks of cards and the puzzles and made a nice tossed salad of pieces that we all had to clean up. Wait. This sounds familiar. Oh, that's right.
After my mom lecture to Yaks about making a mess he said,
"But mom, it's all I could do! It's in my stowy!
It says, 'Yaks messed up all the puzzows!'"

He's a smart kid! It reminds me of the My Turn On Earth song "I'm the One That Writes My Own Story."
We watch Word World...Super Why drives me nuts. It bugs me that they change the stories.
That's so funny! At least you can tell he's paying attention!
Funny. Gotta say, I still love Super Why. Its helping Ethan learning his letters right now.
