Oh Come With Me to Pri-mar-y!

Well, the first day in Primary was simply wonderful. Honestly! I felt The Spirit like six times. Our class (I team teach w/ another sister) is the perfect mix of ease and challenge, and I'm excited to prepare my first lesson next week (hands rubbing together).

One of the things I miss about teaching every day are the funny things that kids say. "School Stories" were the most fun, and I would often entertain Josh after work with tales of something a student did or said. I was happy to hear one little ditty yesterday.

One student was handed a picture of Jesus surrounded by children. One little girl raises her hand and says, "That picture is in our exercise room!" I thought to myself, "Man, I didn't know your family had an 'exercise room'," then realized she was talking about the Primary room where we do opening exercises. Ha. Got it.
This is gonna be fun.

Make sure you send me the best laughs. I'm always on the hunt for good material for my column!

Ahhh! the potential of good "student-stories" this new calling holds! Now we'll be looking forward to each Monday for the next funny. Good luck planning next week's lesson.

I would love an exercise room.. but I have my doubts about whether or not that would increase my workout time.

Have fun in primary.. sound like tons of fun!

Oh, you'll be wonderful. What a fun calling for you to put all your awesome teaching/entertaining/whip-'em into-shape-skills to work. I'll look forward to the stories.

I'm so glad you are in Primary! Your class is so lucky and so are we as leaders to have you there. It looked like you had a great lesson going today when I came in and interrupted - sorry again about that. Here's a little ditty from our Sacrament Meeting today: After the opening prayer, Abbey leaned over to Brett and asked him why we always pray for the speakers. She wondered if they broke a lot or something. He couldn't figure out what she was talking about, and then he realized she thought people had been praying about the sound system!

Dianna, that little Abbey is so cute and fun. She asks an excellent question.
