That Easter Morn'

There are few things I dislike more than trying to get a *cute* photo of both of my kids. It stresses me out and makes me perspire - no kidding. I tried to get a decent picture of the kids in their Easter clothes, but I had a little trouble:

Boo, sit up!

Yaks, sit up!

They both thought it would be fun to shake their heads
back and forth and say, "uhhhhh, uhhhhh". Goof balls.

This one should win a prize - chopped off Boo's head and behind a nice shadow of me.
Hands in your lap, hands in your lap!

Okay picture, but the shadow...ugh.

It's a bird? It's a plane? Santa?

Cath, wish you were here...

We had to make it thru a half-hour of blotchy/crying faces before I could attempt to get a picture of the girls together...and even then Matt kept saying 'this is ridiculous.' Ah, if only the kids would 'participate' then picture taking wouldn't be so dreaded. Even with all that said, the picts of Jane and then Ben NOT sitting up is hilarious. You get an A for effort.

I feel your pain. Baby Bear's blessing was yesterday... I have pictures of Little Man with his Easter basket. The family picture is on Mimi's camera. The pictures at church are on Zizi's camera and are only of Little Man. Not one picture of Baby Bear. I'm going to have to dress him up again this week to get a picture.

Family pics are never fun. But I think Love.Boxes is right -- one day you'll really be loving those precious photos!

Train,

I had to do the same thing w/ Yaks blessing day. I still feel sick when I think about it. I should have designated someone to take pictures of him. I ended up dressing him up and snapping pictures the day after also. Better than nothing! I'm feeling your pain, my friend. It's okay!!

Oh, Ames, I'm so glad that I'm not the only one. By the end of our Easter photo shoot Bryns said: "Let's get one of the whole family." My response, "I can't, I'm all ornery now." I finally pasted on a fake grin. I'm not kidding you, what is it with kids and pictures? Your kids are darling. I'm glad you got to spend some time with the Hale fam. It was fun to see the pics of them, too.

I love the pictures of the kids. My kids are finally old enough to enjoy getting their picture taken ... but boy do I remember the days.
