Sunday in the Park

On Mother's Day this year, I wanted to get out with the family and enjoy the beautiful weather. Since we have afternoon church, we had plenty of time to get out and soak up the day. We went to a beautiful park called Klemgard, and we had the whole place to ourselves!

Can you believe these trees?
They were dripping with blossoms and humming with bees.

It's a Mother's Day Miracle! We're all looking at the camera!

I'm grateful for Boo. She's an athlete, and loves to play and have fun.

She loves projects and puzzles.
I can't believe how tall she is getting! She's growing up too fast.

She loves hugs and holding hands, and singing off-key.

I'm grateful for Yaks. He likes to talk and discuss things.
I love that he pronounces Mother's Day, "Mudder's Day".

He has a unique ability to find a "sword" everywhere we go.

He's a monkey and loves to climb on things and jump off of dangerous heights.

He's a great helper, and can melt my heart like none other.

I'm grateful for sweet baby Diddles. I love that she's embraced sleeping, and that of all the pretty, pink, fluffy blankets we have, she likes this green frog blanket the best.
She slept the whole time we were at the park...

until her brother did this and woke her up. Awesome.

Being a mom is a tough job. It's exhausting, and difficult, and sometimes overwhelming. It's also joyous, and satisfying, and rewarding. Josh's Grandpa once pulled me aside when I was a new mother to Boo and said, "No one can be a mother to your children like YOU can."
I'm glad these three are my job. Happy Mudder's Day.

They are lucky kids indeed. That is a great family picture and yes, quite miraculous that you are all looking at the camera.

Love the post A.H.H.P...mighty impressed that all family members are indeed looking at the camera...cute pic! I'm gonna have to admit that the waking of sweet Diddles shot is my favorite. Those kinds of brotherly actions are not much appreciated around these parts as well. "Whaaaat, she's awake...see mom....." Awesome indeed! Xo
