One for Harry Potter, Please

JB is going on a High Adventure campout with the scouts Thurs-Sat to Flaming Gorge. He always feels bad for leaving me alone with the kids. He'll often try to figure out some way to give me a break while he's gone, like rent my favorite movies or pre-order a pizza...things like that. This time he's gone above and beyond.

He sent me a text message that said, "I have one ticket reserved for you for Friday morning at 9:30AM to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at the IMAX theater. Nana will be coming to watch the kids. Be sure to get yourself popcorn, a treat AND a drink!"

How nice. How thoughtful. How clever to send me by myself, so he didn't have to suffer through it with me! I actually don't mind going to movies by myself. Have you ever done it? It's a bit uncomfortable as you're waiting for the show to start, but once the lights go out, it's actually quite liberating. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks, JB. You're a champ.

What a guy! That is so sweet.

I'm becoming friends with a girl at church who is almost as into the Potter craze as you are. It's too bad we're not closer. Kindred spirits!

I'm so glad that you get to go. And to an IMAX, that's AWESOME! Wil and I are going with Miss Shana on Saturday afternoon. I can't wait!

onthego - I like her already! She could very well be the kindred spirit you've been waiting for. ;)

Train - Say hello to Shana for me, will you? I bet she has a blog...what is it?

Ha! I love the title of this post... you are so witty!

I don't mind going to the movies alone either, I tell myself that it's an act of self-confidence not nerdiness... and I believe it.
