The refinery. Moments after we see it, we sometimes smell it. Isn't it lovely? They've made attempts to beautify it by placing a Christmas star atop the tallest smokestack. It almost helps.Today while driving, the stacks were putting out some puffy white smoke.

even with the star I am sure that the place still stinks. Every time we go to Layton we smell it too
I love Boo's question. I want to know how you answered that though. Bountiful does have the unique experience of being able to produce two very awful aromas simultaneously: the refinery smell mixed with the Great Salt Lake stink is a killer combination! It is a good thing Bountiful is such a great place to live in spite of that.
Jane is so funny. Cloud making machines sound so much more fun and magical. Some days I wish I were a kid again. I'm glad you've returned to blogging.
Dianna, I think I said something like, "Maybe it does make more clouds..." (I so hate to toss out her clever ideas) Then I said, "You know how when we are outside when it's so so cold outside, our breath sometimes looks like white clouds? It's kinda like that." I didn't get too deep - she wouldn't get in anyway, you know?
