We've been
casually working on potty training. I'm no good at it, and I've come to grips with that reality. I
have learned that despite all we do or don't do, kids eventually learn to
do it.
The good news:Yaks just walked up to me (underwear in hand) and said, "Mom, I fink I'm just ready to wear big kids unnerwear."
The bad news:
This is what he was wearing when he made this declaration:
"I'm in my Dingerbell clothes."

That is way too funny! Is that a costume or a dress?
Wow! That was fast, Cara! I just posted this. It's a t-shirt and skirt, meant to be a costume for last Halloween when Boo was going as Tinkerbell. Now it just sits lonely in her drawer, waiting for someone else to love and appreciate it.
Classic!!! He's going hate the pict when older.
I guess you could opt for the green fairy dress rather than letting him run the house stark naked like others do...
Either way, good luck with the training. He sounds ready to give it a try.
That is awesome, and way too funny!!
At last he'll fit in with the other cousins when they play dress ups at Nana and Papas. I was getting worried that Ethan was the only boy fluttering around in princess garb.
Oh, funny! We have some incriminating photos of our son in a tu tu. They are great for entertaining perspective girlfriends. Good luck with the potty training!
By the way, great title!
It took me a day to realize the title. Great title. Funny story, and great potential yearbook picture. I am bad a potty training. I cannot even think about potty training a boy...maybe that should be his dad's job-just a thought
I just loved that you titled it, "the bad news" -ha! He could have requested tights.
I had to laugh at your opening statement. I feel the exact same way about potty-training. (That could be why my mom trained our first born???) I'm so happy that I don't have to worry about timing with Blue since he's not going to preschool this fall.
Is Boo starting kindergarten this year?
On the go Mom - No, Boo misses the cutoff, so she's not starting K until fall of 2010. That's fine by me, she's not ready to head off to the big world of school yet. How about Goose? Now that makes me wonder, would Yaks be heading to Kindergarten the very next year (born March 2006)?
so funny! I am so glad he is taking initiative in his own potty skills. The dress will be a great picture in the wedding video someday!
Our cutoff is Sept. 30, so Goose makes it, but just barely. She needs a little extra time, so we're not sending her 'til fall 2010 either.
