Having two kids 18 months apart has had its fair share of challenges, but one of the many nice things about it is that they are now starting to be very good friends. Boo and Yaks have started to enjoy coloring together, and I often find them gathered around a little table, coloring in their notebooks and...chatting. I never thought I would see the day when they would actually talk with one another! I'm glad they will always have a sibling, and hopefully a friend. They talk about what they are drawing, about family members, about what we're doing today and about how to be nice (haha). This particular conversation is hard to hear (a result of my having to film at a distance), but they are talking about colors. Notice Yaks - the little tease - takes Boo's "favorite" marker, just to see what she'd do. I'm glad she kept her composure and asked for it back. It sometimes doesn't end so nicely.
Yaks is such a busy boy. He's into everything and the kid talks all day long! He picks up everything from Boo. I'll often ask them, "What are you doing?"when it's perfectly clear that they're making a mess, into something that is off limits or potentially hazardous. I just like to hear what they say. Yaks learned this little phrase as a reply to my question, and I think it's so cute. "I doing sumping" (I'm doing something). In this case, he's pushed the bar stool over to the sink with the intention of flooding the kitchen (washing his hands). His little face is so expressive, I often find myself just smiling at him when he's talking to me, even when he's really upset. It's just too cute!

It's so nice when they really start to play!
So cute Amy! They are really darling, it's so fun how they are having a real conversation and working together. :)
so cute!
Loved seeing the videos. Especially of Yaks "doing sumping."
Its so cute to watch Jane and Ben play together. I can tell we have boys the same age! Ethan is really into washing his hands too. He slides is car garage toy into the bathroom and uses it as stand so he can wash his hands. He do this forever if I'd let him but we want to conserve water. So fun to see him talking so well also (so adorable)!
Ames! So good to hear from you. Thanks for leaving a comment. Is it ok if I add you to our link list?
